Trying to understand complex subjects… one failure at a time.

untitled poem or something

Theme: some bonds limit potential (and a jab at white privilege 🫢)

Public health topic: prisoner’s cycle of re-entry and awareness for the parolees actually trying (your road is bumpy, but keep going… you’ve got this!)

Notes: still in a rough format

Caged like beasts, then set free

No money or place to live at release

Can’t go it alone, but can’t find peace

One thing’s true, thugs don’t rouse

they don’t charge police cars

Only for a bucket list death wish

Horizontal rain, ricocheting

Oh look at that

Now there’s blood spraying

Well um, as I was saying

Family holds stigma close

Just enough to choke your soul

Although, predisposed

Still holdin’ true, to a life not meant for you

You can’t choose, what you’re born into

Where you go from here, isn’t theirs’ to moot 🫶

*sorry, posted before editing… 😱 it will probably stay this way for a minute.
