Perfectly Human

Trying to understand complex subjects… one failure at a time.

Home

This space is based on a simple idea: imperfection is part of growth. Failure doesn’t mean weakness; it drives progress. Challenges and small victories can lead to bigger achievements. Perfectly Human is an ongoing project to document this journey.

Why Imperfection Matters

We live in a world focused on perfection and top performance. This sucks because, the true essence of learning resides in our mistakes, rough drafts, and experiments that fail. Here, imperfections are not hidden but seen as part of the process.

Every failure leaves something behind – a note, a sketch, a small win. Over time, these pieces can merge together. This results in something bigger. It leads to a deeper grasp of ideas, a sharper way to express them, and a stronger foundation for growth.

What is Explored

The work moves across six anchor subjects, each approached as a beginner:

  • Poetry & Lyricism – raw words, unfinished lines, imperfect rhythms.
  • Music Composition – sketches, fragments, and sounds that stumble toward coherence.
  • Quantum Mechanics – questions more than answers, attempts at grasping the ungraspable.
  • AI – experiments in systems that reflect our own imperfect thinking.
  • Systems Design – messy diagrams, broken workflows, and the beauty of iteration.
  • Philosophy of Science – reflections on uncertainty, paradigm shifts, and the evolution of knowledge.

You’re invited to:

  • Read poems and reflections on the blog.
  • Watch experiments unfold on YouTube.

Official House Menu

Earlier I showed how I use AI to develop a menu with what I have available in the house. I’ll sit with the menu for a day or two and think about what meals, snacks, suggestions don’t work for me or my family. Then, I make adjustments and put it into a calendar form. I…

No spare key

Financial tip 2, for poor people… Like myself.

My last tip was about Wal-Mart cash from manufacturer coupons. Tip two also focuses on manufacturers. Many Wal-Mart cash back offers are from new products. What I do, is write the manufacturer a quick review and send it to their customer service. Whether my review is good or bad, they generally always send “thank you”…

This is how I budget my meals for nutrients, calories, and spending.

I am very poor and use SNAP benefits. Meal planning helps me use the money I’m given efficiently. This method helps keep food costs from cutting into my bill money. It also helps me to eat the specific nutrients that I must closely monitor for health reasons. First, I list all of the ingredients that…

An easy tip to expand one’s budget

Tip: When ordering things online through Wal-Mart, they offer cash back from manufacturer coupons. The money set aside can be used on future purchases, (even those that also offer future cash back.) It can also be cashed out or put on a gift card. I have been using Wal-Mart cash to curb spending on household…

Update – 3, January ’25

During January and February, I won’t be online often. Priorities have to shift for a few weeks. If inspiration strikes, I may create and share something new. Most added from now to then will just be old materials and revisions. The blog is currently in a very simple format, so it is easier to manage…

Poem 252

“Silent Screams” was written mid 2025. The poem is part of an ongoing collection with the working title, “Stupid Love.” This one clearly highlights my mental process of dealing with the anger phase of grief. I chose to keep to myself during that time and not let this attitude consume me or others. I did…

Poem 236

The poem titled, “Oxygen” was written in April 2025. Miscalculated believer,Frayed and freed from another deceiver,Now distrust discerns my heart’s receiver.Blackened ash settles over what once was.Swirling tendrils lash out over the wasteland,Of where my body stood.Drifting above, to heights beyond breaths renewed.Trepidation before the suffocation,With pain comes some type of renewal-The reality of being…

Poem 146

The poem, “Contrast” was written in April 2025. It was another one on perspective. I don’t like the last line and will revise it soon. Life hurts, Sometimes it really sucks. One may start to believe in luck. Not me… Through pain there’s beauty. For what is a masterpiece without contrast, or Texture? Life sucks,…

Poem 666

“Weavers of Mountain Slides,” was written in March 2025 for and shared with a writing group. The poem reflects upon the state of the World at this time, in what eventually will become history. Well… it’s a pattern. We, as a species, have repeated this many times before. Yet here we are, facing the same…

Poem 440

The free-form reflective poem titled, “Biases” was written in January 2025 and shared in a writing club. It needs to be revised, the flow is chunky and an incorrect word ruins a line. The poem’s theme is perception and is part of an ongoing collection. Truth is… each of us is an asshole,  Opinionated, biased–…

Poem 632

The poem, “Still Gonna Rise” was written in February 2025 for and shared with a writing club. It could use a revision. The theme is resilience through chronic pain and illness. Yesterday, every inch of my body ached,  Rising was a struggle for days.  Unsteady on my feet,  I knew what was at stake.  Still, I rose…

The poem titled, “Beauty” was written in the spring of 2025. It is part of an ongoing collection on the concept of beauty. It was originally written for and shared with a writing club.
