Trying to understand complex subjects… one failure at a time.

I’m editing speeches and refreshing my ASL (American Sign Language). ✌️

Nothing particularly interesting to most people and I am surprisingly okay with that.

I’m always interested in what you write. Sometimes I just don’t understand, those one’s I leave unstarred. I’ll go back to them later, once I look up whatever I didn’t understand. I’m a few weeks behind 😁😉🤷

Ha, don’t expend too much energy. I promise you, there is a good chance some of it may never be understood. 😂

Yeah sometimes I’ll read one of your pieces and have no idea what I read. So I read it again and still don’t know. Third time, there’s just air blowing through my brain and filler words left for my vocabulary. Uh, um, hmmm….. huh? 😁

That’s about the sense of it.

You craft words together skillfully. I’m too dumb to comprehend them. 😏😉

I doubt that’s the case. I’m a bit obtuse as a result of trying to bend words to my will.

Unfortunately, they are like cats and resist herding.

Interesting… have you mastered cat herding? I’ve been trying to herd crows since childhood. Haven’t had any luck yet.

I don’t think herding cats is possible aside from a continuous reward. Lucky for me, catnip seems to work.

Man, I’ve got some videos for YouTube then. I snap my fingers and point and my cats all walk in a single file line. I haven’t shared because I don’t like the way my home looks. I’m poor and sometimes messy. LOL.

Let’s see: I’m working on Lost Past and coreopsis as I post them. They have already been written but need work. Some poetry here and there. Involved in a writing project with a hand full of our WP authors. Trying to get a book ready in my spare time. 🫣 Just a couple little things.

I’ve noticed you’ve been churning out a larger project. I haven’t sat down to read any yet. My attention span has been MIA lately. I’ve always thought is was cool when writers could create long projects. I suck at such things.

Hey, tonight I’ll put your writing project on text-to-speech while I draw. That’ll be fun to listen to!

As I loose more and more of my hearing, it’s giving me a deeper understanding of how important sign language is.

Sorry you’re going through that. Sign language is important. I want to start incorporating it with what I work on. I’m not as fluent as I’d like to be. As a kid, I went to a preschool for deaf children. Not because I was deaf, but because I could learn sign language and be compassionate to others. I’ve noticed something with America, we don’t normalize the language.

As people age their hearing decreases and by the time many have lost it, they don’t know sign language. Retirement and Nursing homes would be an entirely different world if the residents knew sign language. It also crosses over other language barriers.
