After labeling and organizing my files, the Skool community, “Music & Words,” is making significant progress. It will open sometime in April or May 2026. It is MY teaching portfolio, so I’m building it with as much professionalism as I can muster. It’s staying “unbranded” at this time and going by that generic name… there are reasons for that. (I’ll explain in time.)
I’m currently tossing around ideas for the weekly challenges for writing, art, and music. I’m working on vocals at the moment. I’ve chosen a few songs that I know well, but am approaching the vocals with different genre styles. It’s fun.
I don’t want any of the challenges to interfere or be competition with other communities’. Rather, I’m designing them to support other challenges, where members can post a clip of a sample or a snippet of a poem/written work to get feedback quickly, while they’re still in creation/production mode.
Oh… since daylight savings changed, my 6-year-old decided that he was going to stay up after I fell asleep. He kept destroying the apartment. Crackers, paint, and playdough were everywhere in the morning. I ended up having to stay awake with only 2 to 4 hours of sleep daily to readjust his sleep cycle. He finally readjusted a few days ago.
I’ve been TIRED, but I’m still putting in the work. I’ll admit, it’s nice to be back on my normal sleep schedule, though. That experience is a HELL that occurs EVERY TIME the time changes!!! At least he stopped cracking all of my eggs (by sitting on them) to hatch dinosaurs. 😱 It could be worse. 😉
Homeschooling has improved. We had to switch up some classes, and I was having A LOT of issues adjusting to the scheduling. Thankfully, the kids and I are back on track.
Hope everyone’s well. I’m wishing you the best. Thanks for reading.
