Trying to understand complex subjects… one failure at a time.

Well… I’m a wimp

And scheduled the installation of home Internet. It’s not fancy like my ex’s liked. It’s just what I need for the kids and me. It’s within my budget, and… I can control my own billing. Also, I’ll now be able to manage my own account. 😁

The first thing I’m going to do after the Internet detox, is set a daily schedule of when the router is accessible. Unplugging daily is something that I’d like to continue after we go back online.

The installation is still a ways off into the future so… until then, I’m going to keep working on whatever the hell my speeches are turning into. It’s either madness or creativity? I can’t really tell the difference anymore.

I was going for professional health and wellness speeches… then I shared the idea with my eldest child. Now we’re writing skits, music, and IDK… chaos?

The project should meet several benchmarks for her health and fitness requirements. But… it doesn’t matter. The school system will make her retake and relearn everything “their” way. Nonetheless, it’s still a fun project that she’s temporary taken over creative direction.

Good Lord, I already looked dumb enough when I was trying to sing. Now, I’m in three different costumes and wigs?

We’ve been brainstorming, storyboarding, and writing several interlinked sketches. To test whether the idea is “just dumb” or a “good kind of dumb,” we’re only putting together one set of sketches.

When I said that I wanted to focus on “career building tasks,” this wasn’t what I meant. 🤦

I just wanted to talk slow and boring about topics… like everybody else… 🤔

I suppose it is to support the kid’s homeschooling. My youngest wants to learn more about video editing because he likes making stop animation with dinosaurs and Legos. I guess a silly family project is a good way to go. We’ll get plenty more laughs out of it in the future.

Another good thing is that I’ll know the information enough to recall in conversation. Perhaps one day that will be of use? Well… maybe if I never post this trainwreck on YouTube. 🙄

Oh, we’re also still working on our (ASL) American Sign Language. My oldest is getting ready to take a class with her school. She wants to be an interpreter and has for several years. Well… if music doesn’t work out for her. She says she’ll DJ and write music at night and be an interpreter during the day. It’s a pretty good plan! She is trying to avoid college though. Says she won’t need it… IDK?

Back to the madness… today, known as… next month’s budget and menu!
